Lake District Ski Club Safeguarding

We take safeguarding very seriously at the Lake District Ski Club. If you are concerned about something or wish to report something then please contact our Club Welfare Officer, Johan Hoving. Members who wish to raise a matter of concern, may do so knowing that he will deal with it sensitively, confidentially, discreetly and with honesty of purpose. You can contact Johan by email. All contact will be dealt with according to our Safeguarding Policy statement.

LDSC DBS Checks

Our Club Welfare Officer role requires an enhanced DBS check, according to Snowsport England’s rules. As a matter of good practice we also ensure that our Tow Officer, Hut Warden and Comms Officer have DBS checks. As we do not allow unaccompanied under-18s to ski with us and we carry out no coaching, other volunteer roles do not require checks.
