Ski Club members on Raise

The Raise Team is conducting a health and safety audit to ensure we meet with best practice. Ably assisted by club safety officer Davie Sanderson (who is a H&S specialist inreal life) they will be checking fixtures, fittings and operating procedures.

Club members are asked to do their bit by pointing out any potential issues or hazards they spot to the team, one or more of whom will be running the tow.

A transceiver exercise is also in the planning. There is very little avalanche risk in the immediate vicinity of the club slopes, but many members like to go ski-about over the fells as part of their day out, so it’s a worthwhile exercise.

Skis and boots stored in the members’ hut should have owners’ names on them and be placed in the appropriate racks. Storage space is critical. Any unmarked skis or boots will be disposed of if they clearly have not been used for a while.
